The results of a great client and great craftsmanship. A common vision between client, architect (Darren P. Mercer AIA) and General Contractor resulted in an amazing 160 year old barn restoration. It includes a world class gym, sports court, adult lounge, garage, and antique train room. It is by far one our greatest undertakings to date!!

Spencertown Academy

September 24, 2014 | Columbia County NY, Historic Restoration

The Spencertown Academy was in a bind. They no longer could use the front entry of this amazing structure. A busy summer of events was planned and the front porch was in need of  a major renovation. The results speak for themselves. We are very proud to continue restoring such great structures in our community.

Thanks Times Union for making Lagonia Construction and the Spencertown Academy “Your Best Shot” of the week!

Historic Barn Restoration

April 9, 2014 | Columbia County NY, Historic Restoration

This 20,000 square foot barn, originally constructed in 1854, is undergoing a complete historic restoration. The first phase of the project required cleaning up the surrounding area, removing any loose or ill-fitting exterior planking, and substantive structural reinforcement. The next phase included lifting the building to allow rebuilding of the foundation.

Brick Oven

April 9, 2014 | Columbia County NY

Ever wonder how your favorite pizzeria makes such great pizza? The secret: a pizza oven. The heat in a brick oven is different from the heat in home ovens. Not only are the temperatures much hotter, but the heat is distributed more evenly. Pizzas cook faster, and moisture is sealed off, preventing the base of the dough from becoming soggy.

We’ve built brick ovens for homes and businesses throughout the northeast. If your kitchen could use a brick oven, or maybe if just like a new kitchen all together, give us a call. We’d be happy to discuss what makes sense for you.
